Evelyn Beaumont can't remember anything from the time she was 14 until she was 19. She lost five years of her life because of brain cancer. Now she is a 20 years old survivor and enrolled in college, determined to reclaim her life. There she meets Tristan Monroe, but it isn't the first time they’ve met. In fact, Tristan and Evelyn were once in love. It was a love so strong that it shattered him when, after the three years they had spent together, she never came back to Laguna.

Evelyn wants nothing more than to have her memories back. With the help of Tristan and his brother Drake, they take Evelyn on an emotional journey filled with videos, photos, and memorabilia...a walk down memory lane.

While they stroll down memory lane, Evelyn must learn to deal with Tristan's rock star fame and the ever-present groupies. She struggles to find herself and to learn to love again.

Is their love strong enough to overcome the memory loss? Is it strong enough to survive whatever comes their way? Will all the proof Tristan shares with her be enough to show her how deeply they loved each other? Will love find Evelyn once again?

My infinity. If I was naming this novel, "My Infinity" would've won hands down over "Talania." Not quite sure why the author chose to call it "Talania", but, I'll forgive her. This was one helluva novel!

To read this book, you must suspend disbelief a bit. It's entirely plausible for the removal of brain cancer to delete memories. What you must be able to wrap your head around is the fact that Tristan suddenly drops his groupie lifestyle and immediately jumps back in love with Evelyn. I, myself, was able to believe that. I felt he truly loved Evelyn with all his heart as a teenager, and seeing her again and knowing he had this one chance to win her back, was totally believable to me. The part I had to reconcile was Evelyn's ability to immediately jump into a relationship with someone she can't remember. The saving grace? While her mind didn't remember, her heart DID, and I totally believed it! The author did a wonderful job of making me believe.

The sheer love between Tristan and Evelyn drips from every scene. This book takes Evelyn back in time through videos, pictures and souvenirs to show her the evolution of her love of Tristan. It was beautiful people! I can't even use words to express it! I could've read about this couple forever!

There were very few faults with this book! The writer and editor both did a terrific job! There were some minor cancer medical references that weren't correct, but they were forgivable, as the story was less about cancer and more about remembering your first love. It wasn't a cancer-centric book despite the background of brain cancer.

If you do not pick up this book right now, I will hunt you down! LOVED IT!

  1. This is a very interesting take on cancer and memories. In a way, it reminds me of A Walk to Remember, but on a different level. I will have to keep my eyes on this one!
